My printer/scanner can print, but cannot scan. the printing function is connected through my network, but the scanner is connected to my pc through an usb cable.. I have a mf 4150 and trying to get it working with new pc running win 8.1. i have installed updated win 8/8.1 drivers and toolbox as shown in another post on the forum.. Naps2 workaround for canon mf toolbox windows 10 scanning issues success! i'm now able to scan again with my canon imageclass mf4570dn using windows 10. scangear mf cannot communicate with the scanner. the cable may be disconnected, or the scanner may be turned off. check the scanner status and try again.. That did not fix it. but...got fixed another way!. had an email exchange with a tech support rep from canon, who after eliminating other possibilities, correctly diagnosed it..
